There’s something powerful about stepping outside the walls of your church and serving together.
Whether you’re a small group, youth group, men’s ministry, women’s ministry, or a team of friends, a mission trip to our host country provides an opportunity to deepen relationships, strengthen your faith, and be part of what God is already doing through Haven Heart Children’s & Family Ministry.
Every trip is customized to your group’s size, strengths, and interests. You may spend your week leading children’s programs, helping with community projects, visiting families, serving alongside our local staff, participating in sports outreach, or encouraging local churches.
More than the work you’ll accomplish, it’s the relationships you’ll build. Both with the people you serve and with one another, that leaves the greatest impact.
You’ll laugh together, worship together, step outside your comfort zones together, and return home with a renewed passion for serving your own community.
Whether your group is made up of students, young adults, families, or adults of all ages, we’ll create a meaningful mission experience that equips your team to serve with purpose and return home changed.

Investment: Trip Fee $850 + Registration Fee $200 + flight (approx $800-1000) (Includes lodging, meals, excursions, and ministry projects) the $200 non-refundable registration fee is required with application (after confirmed approval)
We are a registered Canadian Charity – your trip will be covered with a charitable tax receipt. You do have the ability to raise funds for your trip (retreat cost and flight), and others can also receive charitable tax receipts for their donations.
1. Who can come?
We welcome all kinds of groups, including churches, youth groups, small groups, college ministries, men’s and women’s ministries, sports teams, schools, and groups of friends who want to serve together.
2. How many people can I bring?
We recommend teams of 8–12 people, although we’re happy to discuss larger or smaller groups. We’ll work with you to determine what fits best based on your dates and our ministry schedule.
3. What kinds of ministry will we do?
Every trip is customized based on your team’s size, skills, and interests. Opportunities may include:

4. Do we need any special skills?
Not at all! Whether you’re handy with tools, love working with kids, enjoy worship, or simply have a willing heart, there’s a place for you to serve. We’ll match your team with opportunities that fit your gifts and abilities.
5. Where will we stay?
Teams stay together in clean, comfortable accommodations on our ministry property. We’ll provide all the details before your trip so you know exactly what to expect.
6. Will we have free time?
Absolutely! While ministry is the focus, we also include opportunities to experience the beauty and culture of this country through activities such as visiting local markets, beaches, volcanoes, or other attractions.
7. Can our team choose the projects we want to do?
Absolutely! During the planning process, we’ll discuss your team’s interests, strengths, and goals. While we’ll make recommendations based on current ministry needs, we want to create an experience that’s meaningful for both your team and the community we serve.
8. Is this our ministry or yours?
You’ll be serving alongside our local staff and ministry leaders in programs that happen year-round. We don’t create projects just because a team is coming. Instead, your team joins and strengthens the work God is already doing through long-term relationships in our community.
9. How physically demanding is the trip?
That depends on the activities your team chooses. Some ministry opportunities involve construction or outdoor work, while others focus on children’s ministry, relationships, sports, or hospitality. We’ll tailor the week to your group’s abilities.
