Years from now, your kids may not remember every birthday present or family vacation, but they’ll remember the week your family stepped out in faith and served together.
Imagine watching your children laugh with kids from another culture, serve side by side with you, experience God in a whole new way, and discover that they can make a difference in someone’s life, right now.
Our Family Mission Teams are designed for families who want to experience missions together. This isn’t a trip where the adults do one thing and the kids do another. It’s an opportunity to serve, learn, worship, and grow as a family.
Throughout the week, you’ll build relationships with local families, lead children’s programs, work on meaningful community projects, experience the beauty and culture of our host country, and create memories your family will talk about for years to come.
To create the best experience, Family Mission Teams are made up of at least two families. We’ve found that sharing the journey with another family creates lasting friendships, encourages one another, and makes the experience even more meaningful.
More than a mission trip, this is a chance to slow down, reconnect with one another, and discover what God can do when your family serves side by side.
The greatest gift you can give your children isn’t another thing; it’s an experience that changes the way they see God, the world, and their place in it.
Every trip is customized, but your week may include:

We know traveling as a family is a significant investment, so we’ve structured our Family Mission Team pricing to be as affordable and flexible as possible.
To help keep costs manageable, families can choose the meal option that best fits their budget:
This flexibility allows each family to create a trip that fits both their needs and their budget while still enjoying a meaningful mission experience.
We are a registered Canadian Charity – your trip will be covered with a charitable tax receipt. You do have the ability to raise funds for your trip (retreat cost and flight), and others can also receive charitable tax receipts for their donations.
1. Who can come?
Family teams are designed for families with children of all ages.
We’ll work with you to create serving opportunities that are appropriate for your children’s ages and abilities, ensuring every member of your family can participate in a meaningful way.
Whether your children are preschoolers, elementary-aged, or teenagers, there is a place for them to serve.
2. Why bring your family?
The greatest lessons often aren’t taught; they’re experienced.
When your children see generosity, compassion, and faith lived out firsthand, it changes the way they see God, people, and the world.
Many families tell us this becomes one of the defining experiences of their family’s story.

4. Is it safe?
Your family’s safety is our highest priority. We’ve lived and served here for many years and carefully plan all activities, accommodations, transportation, and ministry opportunities. Before your trip, you’ll receive a detailed handbook covering health, safety, packing, and what to expect.
5. Where will we stay?
Families stay together in clean, comfortable accommodations on our ministry property. We’ll provide all the details before your trip so you know exactly what to expect.
6. Will we have free time?
Yes! While ministry is the focus of the trip, we also believe in creating meaningful family memories. Your itinerary will include opportunities to experience beautiful beaches, volcanoes, local markets, and culture.
7. What if my child has special needs or dietary restrictions?
Please let us know during the application process. We’ll work with you to determine whether we can accommodate your family’s specific needs and ensure everyone has a safe and meaningful experience.
8. Will this be enjoyable for my kids?
Yes! While your family will work hard and serve others, this isn’t all work. Kids will make friends, play games, explore a new culture, swim, eat local food, and experience adventures they’ll talk about for years. We intentionally build fun into the week because we believe some of the deepest conversations happen while sharing new experiences together.
9. Can our family come alone?
At this time, no. Due to our accommodations and ministry capacity, we require a minimum of two families for each Family Mission Team.
We’ve also found there’s something incredibly meaningful about sharing the experience with another family. Parents encourage one another, children build friendships, and everyone returns home with people who truly understand what they experienced together. Many families tell us these relationships become one of the most unexpected and treasured parts of the trip.
