Many of the children we work with are severely malnourished. Help us show them a tangible act of God's love by filling their bellies!
Everything we own will go into purchasing a property but we know it will need more building to support the ministry. We will need missionary housing, team housing, program facilities, washrooms and hopefully a playground. If you want to donate now, before we are in country, this is the best way to help!
We desire to offer youth ministry to children of all ages in our immediate community. We are hoping to offer 1-2 evenings a week of Bible Club/Youth night so we can build relationships with the children and families in our community.
There are many single mothers in Nicaragua. Culturally it is common for men to start several families. Because poverty and safety are huge concerns for these moms and children, often these kids will end up in orphanages simply because their mothers cannot feed and care for them on their own. We want to prevent orphans and this means these moms need help. We are developing a mentorship program to help with food, microloans and hopefully even daycare. We desire to help women get their own businesses started and give them the opportunity to raise their kids in a safe and nurturing environment.
Our camp is the biggest part of our ministry and requires the largest budget. To transport, feed and implement programs and activities where these kids can thrive. Removing these kids from survival environments to a stable, secure environment allows them to have hope, dream and see the possibilities the future can hold. So many of these kids are simply surviving and have very little hope at a better future. Help us empower them to see their potential in a safe and nurturing environment where they will learn all about the gospel.
One of the biggest ways we can help these kids is with education. Very few people in rural Nicaragua speak english. English opens up a lot of employment opportunities especially in ministry as translators and the tourism industry which has been hit hard in recent years due to civil unrest and of course covid-19. We already have a trained staff member to assist with our english program and would like to see it up and running as soon as possible!
We want to see a ton of teams coming down for a life changing mission trip, but we need to be able to house them first! Please give to our team building fund, so North American hearts can be working in Nicaragua for the cause of Christ.
